Submit Cards

Learn how to submit your physical graded trading cards to be digitized as digital collectibles on the Phygitals platform.

Overview

Phygitals enables you to convert your physical graded trading cards into digital collectibles on the platform. When you submit a card, it is shipped to one of our professional vault partners, authenticated, and then digitized as a collectible that you own in your wallet.

Once digitized, your card can be traded on the Phygitals marketplace, included in Pack Parties, or redeemed back to its physical form at any time. The physical card remains securely stored in our vault network throughout.

Eligible Cards

To be accepted for submission, your cards must meet the following requirements:

  • Professional grading required - We accept cards graded by PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator), BGS (Beckett Grading Services), SGC (Sportscard Guaranty Corporation), and CGC (Certified Guaranty Company).

  • No raw (ungraded) cards - Cards that have not been professionally graded and encapsulated are not eligible for submission at this time.

  • Authentic and unaltered - Cards must be in their original grading cases, unaltered and free from tampering. Any signs of case manipulation or re-labeling will result in rejection.

  • Supported categories - We currently accept cards from the following categories: Pokémon TCG, Baseball, Football, Basketball, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Dragon Ball, and select other collectible card series.

If you are unsure whether your card qualifies, please contact our support team before shipping.

How to Submit

Follow these steps to submit your physical cards for digitization:

  1. Log in to your Phygitals account - You must have an authenticated account to submit cards. If you do not yet have an account, sign up using email, Google, Apple, or a supported wallet.

  2. Navigate to the Submit page - From your dashboard or the main navigation, select the "Submit" option.

  3. Provide card details - Enter information about each card you are submitting, including the grading company, grade, card name, set, and year. Upload clear photos of the front and back of each card in its grading case.

  4. Review and confirm - Review the details of your submission. Once confirmed, you will receive shipping instructions.

  5. Ship your cards - Package and ship your cards following the guidelines provided below.

Shipping Your Cards to Us

Proper packaging is critical to ensure your cards arrive safely at our vault facility. Please follow these guidelines:

  • Use a sturdy box - Do not ship cards in envelopes or padded mailers. Use a rigid box with adequate padding material (bubble wrap, foam inserts, or packing peanuts).

  • Secure each card - Wrap each graded card individually to prevent movement and contact with other cards during transit.

  • Include your submission reference - Place a printout of your submission confirmation inside the package so our vault team can match your shipment to your account.

  • Use tracked and insured shipping - We strongly recommend using a shipping service with tracking and insurance coverage appropriate to the value of your cards. Phygitals is not responsible for cards lost or damaged in transit before they reach our vault.

  • Ship to the designated address - The exact vault address will be provided in your submission confirmation. Do not ship to any other address.

We accept submissions from both domestic (United States) and international locations. Please note that shipping addresses must use Latin characters only due to carrier compatibility requirements.

Assumption of risk: By shipping physical cards to Phygitals, you assume all risk of loss or damage during transit until the cards are received and signed for at our vault facility. Phygitals is not responsible for cards that are lost, stolen, or damaged during transit to our vault. We strongly recommend using insured, tracked shipping with signature confirmation.

Authentication & Grading

Upon receipt at our vault facility, each card undergoes a thorough authentication process:

  • Intake inspection - Our team verifies the card against the details provided in your submission, including the grading company, grade, and certificate number.

  • Case integrity check - The grading case is inspected for signs of tampering, re-labeling, or damage.

  • Cross-reference verification - Where possible, we verify the card and certificate number against the grading company's database to confirm authenticity.

  • Photography - High-resolution photographs are taken of the front and back of the card for the digital listing.

Rejection criteria: Cards may be rejected for any of the following reasons: case tampering or re-labeling; certificate number mismatch with grading company records; grade or card mismatch with submission details; counterfeit or fraudulently altered cards; cards in unsupported categories; or any other reason at Phygitals' sole discretion. If a card is rejected, we will contact you with details. Rejected cards will be returned at your expense. Phygitals is not responsible for any loss in value resulting from the rejection process.

Digitization Process

Once your card has been authenticated and photographed, the digitization process proceeds as follows:

  1. Metadata creation - A detailed metadata record is created for the card, including the card name, set, year, grading company, grade, and high-resolution images.

  2. Digitization - The card is digitized and secured in our digital custody system, creating a verifiable record of your card and its ownership.

  3. Wallet delivery - The newly created digital collectible is delivered to your wallet (either your embedded wallet or your connected external wallet).

  4. Vault custody - The physical card remains securely stored in our vault network. You can redeem it back to physical form at any time through our Claim process.

The Fair Market Value (FMV) for your card is determined using data from industry-standard pricing providers for graded collectibles.

Timeline & Processing

Submission processing times depend on a number of factors, including shipping transit time, current submission volume, and authentication requirements. Below is a general timeline:

  • Shipping transit - Varies by carrier and origin. Typically 2–7 business days within the United States.

  • Intake and authentication - 1–3 business days after receipt at the vault.

  • Photography and digitization - 1–2 business days after successful authentication.

  • Minting and delivery - Typically completed within 24 hours of digitization.

In total, expect approximately 5–14 business days from the time you ship your cards until the digital collectible appears in your wallet. You can track the status of your submission from your account dashboard at any time.

During periods of high volume, processing times may be longer. We will communicate any significant delays through email and on the platform.

Fees

Card submission on Phygitals is free. There is no per-card fee for authentication, photography, digitization, or vault storage.

  • No submission fee - Phygitals does not charge a fee to submit and digitize your cards.

  • Shipping costs - You are responsible for the cost of shipping your cards to our vault. Return shipping costs (in the event of a rejected card) are also your responsibility.

  • No ongoing storage fees - Once your card is accepted and digitized, there are no recurring storage fees for keeping the physical card in our vault.

Phygitals reserves the right to introduce or adjust fee structures in the future with advance notice to users.
