Marketplace Guidelines

Rules, policies, and best practices for buying, selling, and trading cards on the Phygitals marketplace.

Overview

The Phygitals marketplace enables peer-to-peer trading of digital collectibles, each backed 1:1 by a real, authenticated physical card held in secure vault storage. Our marketplace provides fast, secure, and transparent transactions for all participants.

When you purchase a card on Phygitals, you acquire verified digital ownership of that asset, with the option to redeem the underlying physical card at any time.

These guidelines govern all marketplace activity on the Phygitals platform. By listing, purchasing, or making offers on the marketplace, you agree to comply with these guidelines in addition to our Terms of Service and NFT & Digital Asset Terms.

Listing Cards

Any card in your Phygitals wallet can be listed for sale on the marketplace. To list a card:

  • Set your price: Choose a listing price. All marketplace prices are denominated in the platform's supported currencies. You may update or cancel your listing at any time before a sale is completed.

  • Instant listing: Listings are published immediately and become visible to all marketplace participants. There is no approval queue for standard listings.

  • Multiple listings: You may list multiple cards simultaneously. Each card is listed individually with its own price.

  • Collection-level listing: You can browse and list cards within specific collections, making it easy to manage inventory across Pokemon TCG, Baseball, Football, Basketball, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Dragon Ball, and Phygitals-original collections.

When your card sells, proceeds (minus applicable fees) are deposited directly to your connected wallet.

Important: Once a card is listed and a buyer completes the purchase, the sale is final. The digital collectible is transferred to the buyer and the corresponding vault custody rights transfer accordingly.

Buying Cards

Purchasing cards on the Phygitals marketplace is straightforward. Browse available listings by collection, card type, grade, price, or other filters.

  • Buy Now: Purchase any listed card at the seller's asking price. The transaction is executed immediately.

  • Filtering & sorting: Use the marketplace's filtering tools to narrow results by collection, price range, card attributes, grading status, and more. Sort by price (low to high or high to low), recently listed, or other criteria.

  • Card details: Before purchasing, review the card's full details including high-resolution images, grading information (where applicable), fair market value (FMV) sourced from industry-standard pricing providers, collection metadata, and transaction history.

  • Wallet balance: Ensure your connected wallet has sufficient funds in your wallet to cover the purchase price plus any applicable network transaction fees.

All purchases are final. Upon completion, the digital collectible is transferred to your wallet and you assume full ownership and custody rights over the underlying physical card.

Making & Accepting Offers

The offer system allows buyers to propose a price for cards they are interested in, even if the card is not currently listed for sale.

  • Making an offer: You can submit an offer on any card in a supported collection. Offers are denominated in the platform's supported currencies and require the funds to be available in your wallet at the time the offer is accepted.

  • Collection offers: Submit offers across an entire collection. A collection offer will be matched against any card in that collection that a seller is willing to part with at your specified price.

  • Offer duration: Offers remain active until they are accepted, cancelled by the maker, or expire based on the conditions set at creation.

  • Accepting an offer: If you hold a card that has received an offer, you may accept it to complete the sale at the offered price. Acceptance is final and triggers an immediate transfer.

  • Cancelling an offer: You may cancel any outstanding offer you have made at any time, provided it has not already been accepted.

Sweep Mode

Sweep mode allows buyers to purchase multiple cards from a collection in a single transaction, automatically selecting the lowest-priced listings up to a specified quantity or budget.

  • How it works: Select a collection, enable sweep mode, and specify how many cards you wish to purchase. The marketplace will bundle the lowest-priced available listings into a single transaction.

  • Efficiency: Sweeping is optimized to minimize transaction costs and maximize execution speed.

  • Limits: Sweep transactions are subject to platform transaction size limits. Extremely large sweeps may be split into multiple transactions automatically.

Sweep mode is a powerful tool for collectors looking to quickly acquire multiple cards. All standard marketplace fees apply to each card purchased via sweep.

Fees & Commissions

Phygitals charges a marketplace fee on completed sales to support platform operations, vault storage, and ongoing development. The current fee structure is as follows:

  • Marketplace fee: A transaction fee, as displayed at the time of listing and sale, is charged on each completed transaction. This fee is deducted from the seller's proceeds at the time of sale.

  • Network fees: Standard network transaction fees apply to all marketplace operations (listings, purchases, offers, cancellations). These fees are typically minimal (fractions of a cent).

  • No listing fees: There is no charge to list a card for sale on the marketplace.

  • No buyer premiums: Buyers pay the listed price plus network fees only. There is no additional buyer-side commission.

Fee rates are configurable and may be adjusted periodically. Any changes to the fee structure will be communicated to users in advance. The applicable fee at the time of a completed transaction governs that sale.

Royalty fees, where applicable to specific collections, are handled in accordance with collection-level settings.

Prohibited Listings

The following types of listings and marketplace activity are strictly prohibited:

  • Counterfeit or inauthentic cards: All cards on the platform must be genuine, authenticated physical collectibles. Attempting to list or sell counterfeit items is grounds for immediate account suspension.

  • Wash trading: Trading between your own accounts or coordinating trades to artificially inflate prices or trading volume is prohibited.

  • Market manipulation: Any activity designed to artificially manipulate card prices, including coordinated buying, shill bidding, or price-fixing arrangements, is strictly forbidden.

  • Fraudulent listings: Listings that materially misrepresent the card being sold, including its condition, grade, or authenticity, are prohibited.

  • Sanctioned parties: Users subject to economic sanctions or located in jurisdictions where digital asset trading is prohibited may not participate in marketplace activity.

Phygitals reserves the right to remove any listing and suspend any account that violates these guidelines. Repeated or egregious violations may result in permanent account termination and forfeiture of platform privileges.

Dispute Resolution

All completed marketplace sales are final and irreversible. Our digital custody system serves as the definitive record of ownership and transaction history.

If you believe a transaction involved fraud, misrepresentation, or a platform error, you may file a dispute by contacting our support team. Disputes are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

  • Filing a dispute: Contact our support team at [email protected]envelope with the transaction details, your wallet address, and a description of the issue. Include any relevant screenshots or evidence.

  • Investigation: Our team will review transaction data, card metadata, and any supporting evidence. We may request additional information from either party.

  • Resolution: While completed transactions cannot be reversed, Phygitals may take corrective actions including account restrictions, credit issuance, or other remedies at our sole discretion.

  • Timeframe: Disputes should be filed within 7 days of the transaction. We aim to respond to all disputes within 5 business days.

  • Chargeback Policy: If you file a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer without first using our internal dispute process, your account may be suspended and assets frozen pending investigation. We strongly encourage resolution through our support team before initiating chargebacks.

For disputes that cannot be resolved through our internal process, please refer to the arbitration and governing law provisions in our Terms of Service.
