How to claim your physical cards from the vault, shipping requirements, processing times, and delivery details.

Overview

One of the core features of the Phygitals platform is the ability to redeem your digital collectibles for the underlying physical cards. When you claim a card, it is removed from vault storage, carefully packaged, and shipped to your specified address. The corresponding digital collectible is retired upon successful claim processing, reflecting the transition from digital ownership back to physical possession.

This document covers everything you need to know about the claim and shipping process, including requirements, processing times, international shipping considerations, and how to handle issues with your shipment.

Claiming Your Cards

Claiming converts your digital collectible back into physical possession of the underlying card. The process works as follows:

  • Initiate a claim: From your Phygitals wallet, select the card(s) you wish to claim and begin the redemption process.

  • Provide shipping details: Enter your shipping address, email address, and phone number. All fields are required.

  • Confirm the claim: Review your claim details, including any applicable fees, and confirm. Once confirmed, the claim is submitted for processing.

  • Digital retirement: Upon successful processing and shipment, the digital collectible(s) associated with your claimed cards are permanently retired, removing them from digital circulation.

Important: Claiming is irreversible once processing begins. After your claim is confirmed and enters processing, you cannot cancel the claim or re-digitize the card without going through the full submission process again.

Claim Requirements

To successfully claim your physical cards, the following requirements must be met:

  • Valid shipping address: You must provide a complete, valid shipping address. See the Address Requirementsarrow-up-right section below for formatting details.

  • Email address: A valid email address is required for shipping notifications and tracking updates.

  • Phone number: A valid phone number is required for delivery coordination, particularly for international shipments where carriers may need to contact you.

  • Connected wallet: The digital collectibles you wish to claim must be in the wallet currently connected to your Phygitals account.

  • No active listings: Cards that are currently listed for sale on the marketplace must be delisted before they can be claimed.

Processing Times

Processing times vary depending on which vault facility stores your cards:

  • PSA Vault: Fulfillment typically takes approximately 1 week, followed by shipping transit time. PSA's process involves additional handling and verification steps. Total time from claim to delivery is typically 2–3 weeks for domestic shipments.

  • Fanatics Vault: Fulfillment typically takes 2–7 business days, followed by shipping transit time. Total time from claim to delivery is typically 1–2 weeks for domestic shipments.

  • Alt Vault: Fulfillment typically takes 2–7 business days, followed by shipping transit time. Total time from claim to delivery is typically 1–2 weeks for domestic shipments.

These estimates are for domestic (United States) shipments under normal operating conditions. International shipments will require additional time. All processing times are estimates and not guarantees; actual times may vary based on volume, periods of congestion, carrier performance, and other factors.

If your claim includes cards from multiple vaults, each vault will process and ship its cards independently. You may receive multiple packages for a single claim.

Shipping & Delivery

Once your claim has been processed and your cards have been packaged, they will be shipped via a reputable carrier with tracking and insurance.

  • Packaging: Cards are carefully packaged using protective materials designed for collectible card shipping, including rigid mailers, top loaders, bubble wrap, and/or padded envelopes as appropriate for the value and quantity of cards.

  • Tracking: A tracking number will be provided to you via email once your shipment has been dispatched. You can use this tracking number to monitor your delivery status.

  • Insurance: Shipments are insured during transit. Insurance coverage is based on the declared value of the cards being shipped.

  • Signature requirement: High-value shipments may require a signature upon delivery. The carrier and vault partner will determine the appropriate delivery confirmation method based on shipment value.

  • Delivery attempts: If delivery is unsuccessful, the carrier will follow their standard re-delivery procedures. Unclaimed packages may be returned to the vault after the carrier's holding period expires.

Shipping fees, if applicable, will be displayed during the claim process before you confirm your claim. Phygitals reserves the right to adjust shipping fees based on carrier rates, destination, and shipment characteristics.

International Shipping

Phygitals supports international shipping to most countries and territories. International shipments are subject to the following additional considerations:

  • Extended delivery times: International shipments typically require additional time beyond domestic estimates. Delivery times vary significantly by destination and may range from 1–4 weeks depending on the country, customs processing times, and carrier routing.

  • Carrier selection: International shipments may be sent via different carriers than domestic shipments. The vault partner will select an appropriate international carrier based on destination, value, and available services.

  • Restricted destinations: Phygitals cannot ship to countries or territories subject to comprehensive U.S. economic sanctions or where the import of collectible cards or related goods is prohibited or restricted by local law.

  • Tracking limitations: International tracking visibility may be limited once the package crosses borders or transfers between carrier networks. Some destinations may have less detailed tracking updates than domestic shipments.

International customers are encouraged to allow additional time for delivery and to ensure their address information is complete and accurate to minimize customs delays.

Customs & Import Duties

International shipments may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), or other import fees imposed by the destination country. Key points regarding customs and duties:

  • Recipient responsibility: The recipient (you) is solely responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, and any other charges imposed by your country's customs authorities. These charges are not included in any fees charged by Phygitals.

  • Customs declarations: Shipments will include accurate customs declarations describing the contents and declared value of the collectible cards. Phygitals will not understate the value of shipments or misrepresent contents on customs forms.

  • Delays at customs: Packages may be held by customs authorities for inspection or duty assessment. Phygitals is not responsible for delays caused by customs processing. If customs authorities require additional documentation, we will provide reasonable assistance.

  • Refused shipments: If a shipment is refused at customs or by the recipient due to import duties or other charges, the package will be returned to the vault. The recipient may be responsible for return shipping costs and any applicable restocking fees.

We recommend checking your country's customs regulations and import duty thresholds before placing a claim for international shipping. Address Requirements

To ensure successful delivery, all shipping addresses must comply with the following requirements:

  • Latin characters only: All address fields (name, street address, city, state/province, postal code, country) must be entered using Latin (Roman) characters only. Addresses containing non-Latin characters (e.g., Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Cyrillic script) cannot be processed and will be rejected. If your address is natively in a non-Latin script, please provide the Romanized (transliterated) version.

  • Complete address: All address fields must be fully completed. Include apartment/unit numbers, building names, and any other details necessary for the carrier to locate your delivery address.

  • Accurate postal/ZIP code: Ensure your postal or ZIP code is correct and corresponds to your city and region. Incorrect postal codes may result in delivery delays or failed delivery.

  • No P.O. Boxes: Depending on the carrier and shipment value, delivery to P.O. Boxes may not be supported. We recommend providing a physical street address for all claims.

  • Recipient name: The name on the shipping address should match a person who can receive and sign for the package at the delivery address.

Address verification: Phygitals may verify your shipping address using address validation services. If your address cannot be verified, you will be notified and asked to correct the address before your claim can be processed.

Address errors: If an incorrect address is provided and the shipment is delivered to the wrong location or returned to the vault, Phygitals is not responsible for the loss. Re-shipping fees may apply.

Lost or Damaged Shipments

While we take every precaution to ensure safe delivery, issues can occasionally occur during transit. If your shipment is lost or arrives damaged, please follow these steps:

  • Report promptly: Contact our support team at [email protected]envelope as soon as possible. For damaged shipments, report within 48 hours of delivery. For lost shipments, report if tracking shows no movement for 7 or more business days or if the carrier confirms the package is lost.

  • Document the issue: For damaged shipments, take photographs of the packaging and the damaged cards before discarding any packaging materials. Include your claim number, tracking number, and a detailed description of the damage.

  • Investigation: Phygitals will work with the shipping carrier and insurance provider to investigate the claim. This process may take several business days to several weeks depending on the carrier and the complexity of the claim.

  • Resolution: If the shipment is confirmed lost or damaged during transit, Phygitals will work to resolve the issue. Resolution may include re-shipping replacement cards (where available), issuing a credit, or processing an insurance claim for the fair market value of the affected cards.

Limitations: Phygitals is not responsible for shipments that are stolen after successful delivery (as confirmed by carrier tracking or signature), shipments delayed due to customs processing, or damage caused by the recipient after delivery. Claims for lost or damaged shipments are subject to the terms and limits of the applicable shipping insurance policy.
